- Our curriculum produces strong, capable graduates who go on to have success in their post-secondary endeavours and personal lives.
- Academic performance alone isn't enough — the health and mental well-being of our children is of paramount importance.
- Richmond is known for high-calibre educators, leaders, and staff, unified behind a focus on the learner and we continue to invest in resources and supports to care for them.

Student Supports
- The needs of students in our classrooms are more diverse than ever before.
- We need to advocate strongly to the provincial government for funding for the support resources and programs these students need.

Budget Challenges
- International student enrolment has fallen due to global uncertainty and changes in federal immigration policy.
- This reduction in funding has affected — and will continue to affect — student programs, classroom supports, and staff & facilities budgets.

Facilities Funding
- The district has major capital funding needs, including:
- Seismic Upgrades: 15 schools have been upgraded, but over 20 are still outstanding.
- Maintenance and Repairs: ongoing funding is required for facilities upgrades and repairs.
- A New School: an additional City Centre elementary school is needed to meet demand.
- Key Issue
Technology Changes
- AI and other technologies are rapidly changing how our students and staff learn and engage.
- We need to engage industry experts and provincial leaders to ensure we continue to equip our students for future success.
